Wall Altar Workshop

About this experience

Join our two-part Wall Altar Workshop and craft a personal Clay Altar under the warm guidance of Caitlin, a talented and nurturing teacher with a love for ritual, texture, and storytelling through clay.

Week 1 – Build Your Altar, Wednesday, 17th September 2025:

Learn hand-building techniques to shape your Altar, personalize it with texture, symbols, or found-object impressions. After this session, we will dry and bisque-fire your piece

Week 2 – Paint & Glaze, Wednesday, 1st October 2025:

Return to decorate your fired piece with paints. We will finish it with a clear glaze and fire it a second time.

Your finished Altar will be ready for collection about 3 weeks later.

Choose from our regular A5 size (£65) or upgrade to the A4 size (£85) payable on the day.

Open to all skill levels, whether you're new to clay or a seasoned maker. It does include the clay, tools, paint and glaze, two firings (bisque and glaze), two evenings of guided instruction with Caitlin.
